It isn’t often that Virginia is hit with a Nor’easter in March but it was headed our way and there was nothing we could do but wait and see the damage. Andrea had already planned her induction for this day and no matter the begging or pleading from me, she wasn’t changing her planEighteen inches of snowfall later the clouds parted and the roads miraculously cleared. I headed to the hospital at about 12:30 a.m. where Andrea was quietly resting in the dimly lit room. Not long after I arrived things got real. The contractions picked up, the anesthesiologist didn’t make it in time, and at 2:51 a.m. Pryce was born. Empowering doesn’t even begin to describe this experience. Natural, beautiful, full of love. I can’t thank Andrea and Shawn enough for allowing me to be present for this amazing moment.
