Joe, Ashley, and Michael | Front Royal, Va Family and Engagement Photographer

Joe and I have been friends for over a decade. We have so many memories that I have lost count. He was a monumental part of my teenage years, as he was always there for me, and I would like to think that I was the same for him. I always wished that Joe would find “the one”. When he sent me a text to tell me about Ashley I couldn’t have been happier for him. He found his lady. I was so excited to meet her and give him my seal of approval;)They are perfect. They have similar interests, make each other laugh, and are so so happy together.

We went to his fire department first for some engagement photos and then went to pick up Michael, that adorable little mister, for some family photos at her fire department! After we wrapped that up we headed over to the spot where Ashley and Joe got engaged. It was cold, windy, but just beautiful. Overlooking our town, the streetlights illuminated like stars. They will tie the knot later this year and I cannot wait to witness them start their forever!

Bobby + Kendal: The Wedding | Front Royal, Va Wedding Photographer

Bobby and Kendal are the type of couple that makes me love being a wedding photographer. They are so head over heels for each other that it was like no one else was even watching. Documenting their wedding day was pure magic.  Kendal’s prep took place at Blake & Co salon in Front Royal, Va. They got married at the beautiful Skyline Ranch Resort, complete chalets with goats! My favorite part of the day was when they each read the letters they had prepared for each other the night before their big day. A wave of emotion flooded them both, realizing that this was it. They were about to be husband and wife.

I walked away with 2 great friends. I wish them both the best in every marital endeavor they explore. Kendal, you better call me as soon as  you start a family!  ;)

Kelly + Natalie | Front Royal, Va Family Photographer

Have you ever met a mother and daughter and known from the start that they are best friends? That is how I felt when I met up with Kelly and Natalie (and Cooper Daniel) for their session. Natalie is hilarious and SO prissy. If I had a girl I would want her to be just like Nat (or Moosie as her Mommy calls her). Kelly is beautiful and sweet and you can just sense how much she loves being a mother. They are a duo. A beautiful, fun-loving, sweet hearted duo. I sincerely hope I get the chance to work with them again. They are amazing!

Nate, Becky, Grady, and Max | Northern Virginia Couples Photographer

When your oldest child enters elementary school you can only wish for a smooth transition. You’ve never experienced this type of schedule, workload, etc before. I was nervous because we were starting a new chapter of our lives, but very excited when I met his teacher, Becky. She made Kindergarten a flawless experience for us. We had struggles and a lot of stress during Brady’s year with her, but she made it so easy for him because no matter what happened outside of the classroom, he was met with structure and care once he entered her room.

I was sad when I heard she would be leaving our district after Brady’s kindy year. I was really hoping for all of my children to get to experience life with Mrs. Brown:)Becky contacted me this past Fall inquiring about a session with her husband and furbabies. I was seriously excited! I am always looking for new places to expand my portfolio and the folks at Blenheim Vineyards were extremely accommodating.

Thank you, Nate and Becky, for letting me capture the two of you, so in love.

A Warrior in Pink v.2 | Front Royal, Va Family Photographer

This could alternately be titled “The 14 Minute Session” because it was blistery cold and the wind was whipping. Sharon was in amazing spirits. I knew she was once she said “My hair is going to get messed up!”;)

Once a year I like to donate a session to a family that has been faced with breast cancer. I say family as opposed to individual because it is the family that fights, supports, comforts, and prays.

Here is Sharon’s story:

I have been diligent about getting breast exams and mammograms, all resulting normal. The last breast exam being in April. One day this past June I was looking in the mirror and noticed my right nipple was sunken in and the breast looked different. I immediately called my primary care doctor and they scheduled a mammogram for that next day. I went in for my mammogram and after it was over the radiologist came in and scheduled an ultrasound of my right breast that same day. I knew something wasn’t right. I then had to tell my family a breast biopsy was ordered. That then confirmed that I had stage 3A invasive ductile carcinoma. Within 2 weeks I had my medi-port placed and first chemo treatment started. I had six chemo treatments total, one every three weeks. With the exception of a few days here and there I felt very good during that time. After the chemo was finished I had a mastectomy. The pathology report showed a complete pathologic response, which means the chemo killed all the cancer cells in the breast and lymph tissue involved. I will now undergo radiation for five weeks to prevent the cancer from returning. During this journey I have had a very strong family and friend support group and many many prayers sent up for me. My belief that God is in control helped me conquer the fear of this dreaded disease. From the beginning, I have had a wonderful sense of peace that. The Lord knows best and he will walk with me every step of the way.

Sharon is CANCER FREE!!  Such amazing news!  Thank you Boyles family for allowing me to do this for you.
